Waste Management

Sorting out waste is based on the Finnish Waste Management Act and the regulations and guidelines given by the town of Rovaniemi. Functioning waste management and recycling are a considerable part of preserving nature and natural resources.

The waste management points are usually located in the yards of the foundation’s apartment buildings. Instructions on waste management can be found on the DAS waste containers, homepage and information boards. Follow these instructions. Put your waste into the containers and keep their lids closed. If the containers are full, contact maintenance service with a Note of Fault.

Unnecessary but still usable items can be taken to a recycling center or a second hand shop. Many recycling centers have a pickup service. Toxic waste has to be taken to the toxic waste reception points of the town of Rovaniemi.
