Dishwasher

Some DAS apartments come equipped with a dishwasher. Others have pre-installed connections for a dishwasher, allowing you to purchase the appliance at your own expense if you wish.

If you purchase a dishwasher yourself, make sure it is installed by a professional. Damage caused by an improperly installed appliance may not be covered by your home insurance. We also recommend using a drip tray—it protects the floor and makes any leaks visible.

Cleaning the dishwasher

Regular cleaning keeps the dishwasher hygienic, prevents unpleasant odors, and ensures good washing results. In addition to basic cleaning, the dishwasher filter should be cleaned 1–2 times per month.

If the apartment is equipped with a dishwasher (owned by DAS), please contact maintenance if the machine does not function normally despite cleaning.

Make sure the dishwasher is empty. Check that there are no food residues at the bottom.
Remove the filter located at the bottom of the machine. Rinse it with warm water. If necessary, use a dish brush or a soft brush. Reattach the filter carefully.
Check that the holes in the spray arms are not clogged. Remove any blockages, for example with a toothpick. Rinse if needed.
Wipe the door seals with a damp cloth. Clean the interior surfaces and the door.
Start a hot wash program (at least 60 °C). Add a dishwasher cleaner or about 1–2 dl of white vinegar (do not use together with detergent).
Wipe the outer surfaces with a damp cloth. Dry if necessary.
