Receiving an Apartment Offer
Once you have received a housing offer, please respond to the offer by the deadline and send your study certificate to dasaspa@das.fi. If you have just been accepted to study, you can attach your letter of acceptance from the educational institution. The letter must include the accepted student’s name and the educational institution to which the applicant has been accepted.
An accepted housing offer constitutes a binding tenancy agreement that takes effect on the lease start date specified in the offer. The actual tenancy agreement is signed separately online before the lease begins. Signing the agreement serves as confirmation of the lease agreement that has already been established.
Tenancy agreements are generally signed electronically. A minor signs the agreement themselves, but in accordance with good rental practices, the guardian(s) approves the agreement made by the minor by acknowledging the tenancy agreement with their own electronic signature.

1Receive a housing offer from DAS
DAS will send you a housing offer by email. You can accept or decline the offer by link in the email.

2Respond to the housing offer
Respond to the housing offer by email. Remember to include:
- a certificate of studies or
- a letter of acceptance (new students only)

3Rental Agreement
The tenancy agreement becomes valid once the tenant has accepted the housing offer. At that point, the lease is binding for both parties, and termination must follow the proper notice procedure, unless both parties mutually agree to end the contract.
Once your study certificate has been received by DAS, you will receive the tenancy agreement by email for signing. The agreement is signed electronically. If you are minor, your parents must also sign the agreement.
